Cube has been contradictory when asked this question. For example, in the 200th Anniversary Issue of The Source magazine (page 82 to be exact) Cube stated, "I grew up as a Neighborhood Crip around Imperial, Van Ness, 108th, and Western, in that radius."
And, of course, as noted in prior posts Cube has stated in previous interviews and his own songs that he never banged...he wrote the good rhymes. So there's a discrepancy in his answers. -
