Presently, Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Lucknow is the President of the Badminton Association of India, Vice-President, Badminton Asia Confederation; and the Chairman of U.P. Olympic Association. Under his excellent presidency, Indian badminton players have won a medal in Olympics for the first time in the history of India.
