Jay Z has his own lane but surely he's a MC who came up after 2 Pac and Biggie left the scene. If you line Ice Cube and Jay Z's work ,it's gonna prove that Ice Cube's lyrics provide a wider spectrum of human life. Cube's music is going to take you on a journey through the urban landscape. Jay Z's music for the most part is 90% bragadocious ,so in the long run of things Cube's music has staying power because of that fact. You're gonna be able to feel and still relate to what Cube is saying 20 years from now because the urban scenery will never change. Same game different faces. Jay Z's music catalog will not be worth much based on his fictional lyrics that monotonously reaches for the material instead of the aesthetic value of being an artist and human. Both artist are very rich black men,but even if Jay Z has more money than Cube,Cube's music is much richer and carries a conscious with it. I mean who would you roll with? A dude who has turned his back on people he's deemed family? Or a dude that will take on the industry and their corporate who's hot /who's not discrimination practices and stays true to the game ? Speaking for myself,I'm gonna be able to relate to Cube's music because of my above mentioned reasons. I may not ever be in that big tax bracket,most of us won't but If I was,it wouldn't make sense to me to shit on the place I come from and expect them to buy my music to keep me there.

jay z can neva be the best .Nas n eminem are better .I cnt compare him with Cube ,he is a legend .Jayz is biggie protege but he is olda than the dude so 4 me he could neva be the best
