Mainstream or Oldschool?

I think that oldschool rap is real rap because Cube,Eazy,Pac,Nas and other old rappers are the realest music acts.
People like Souljah Boy or Gucci Mane had never experience on the street or in the ghetto.

I don't think that street experience have really an impact on how you rap, i think it' s a personnal choice.
Look at 50 cent from the street but he made a transition during 2 albums to back to his real shit in Before I Self Destruct.
Another point during the years between 2005 & 2009 hip hop was dyin' , everybody drop the baggies pants... at that time Soulja Boy was HIP HOP and Gucci Mane too he was "real" if you take a look at his old videos making crack in the kitchen.
Yes they didn't have lyrics but they was HIP HOP in a time where the main artists turned their back on hip hop culture.
Ice Cube was a witness of what happend on the streets but he didn't participate.
