man, i didn't even know there was a new ice cube site. this shit is dope. even doper is the fact that ice cube himself is actually blogging on it.
needless to say, when i found out about a new cube album dropping this summer, my eyes lit up like a kid on xmas. i'm glad that you haven't put the mic down, cube. dudes like scarface, nas, and you are the reason i still believe that hip-hop is a powerful tool when done correctly.
i also have to salute you for being a real nigga when you came to cleveland on the ''laugh now, cry later'' tour. gotta picture with you that my mom took from me. lol!! i'll upload it to my avatar when i get a chance.
anyway, like i said, the site is heat and thank you once again for still caring enough about hip-hop to want to contribute to it. as long as you make albums, i'll BUY them. peace.

I was born in 1986, I never saw in person the NWA, AmeriKKA, Death Certificate or Predator days, but I don't listen to any new music these days other than that old school stuff. That's how badly the music industry has declined, how badly Hip Hop has fallen off.
I've got no problems with artists making songs to be heard on the radio, but when they genuinely change themselves to be heard on the radio, that's wack. I mean look at someone like Jadakiss, his lyrical game and flow could have made in Hip Hop's best days, but no today. So what does he do? He feels to sell, he has to change his style, which is what he did. He sold well too, but his album was poor...it just wasn't Jadakiss. That's such a shame, because Hip Hop heads missed out on 15 potentially great songs. That's what artists feel like they HAVE to do though to feed their family.
Cube, if you read this, I plead for you not to have too many features, any album that has more than 4-5 features overdoes it. Look at Jay-Z's BPIII, the media liked it because it was so commerical, but that album was dogs wor, but that's Jay-Z, and I'm not a hater so I'll leave this alone.
I hope Cube you can include one or two non West Coast artists as well. Everyone would kill to hear you and Nas on a song, I mean who wouldn't want to hear the King of the East with the King of the West, and Nas speaks almost the same way you do in relation to your blog. It's almost identical. I hope you include Crooked I as well, he's the most underrated artist in Hip Hop let alone the West, and he's been very respectful towards yourself and NWA.
Also another thing, because I was never a fan of his music until lately, there's the great white American hope, Eminem. Coming up in southside Queens, I never connected with Eminem's music. However, seeing his performance in the game last year, he almost brought back real Hip Hop on his back, he carried an album without any radio singles because he didn't care and he destroyed artists that challenged him, that is the Lil Wayne's, Kanye's and Drake's. Cube, you gotta do something with Dre and Eminem. I don't want to die without ever not hearing a track with you and Eminem. A Dre beat, heck even a plain beat with Ice Cube and Eminem saliva like delivery? Heaven.

Been down since Dopeman! And loved the last two albums, in fact I would like to use Hood Mentality for an informational podcast geared toward the lost youth. Powerful song, just need permission, how can I contact your staff?
Will the new record be a concept like Death Certificate and Raw Footage? You're a lyrical documenter, Michael Moore be damn!
