Peace to Ice Cube, I'm a longtime fan.
I'm glad to see that you have started a website- it's excellent, very interactive, easy to navigate. I've been a part of the Public Enemy website community for years now, it's great to see a website where there is hands-on interaction by the artist himself.
With the understanding that you're an ultra-busy guy with career and family, I just want to say that it's great that you'll be occasionally giving your own words to the public via the blog, unfiltered, uncensored.
As for the new album, I'm glad that you will be putting out a new LP. I think that more hip-hop veterans should be more proactive in continuing their careers, releasing singles & albums, and not just co-signing on the notion that you have to quit music entirely by the time you hit 30. That's just silly. I can remember reading rap magazine articles when I was a kid, you had rappers openly expressing that they don't want to be doing this at 30. But look at all the others in other genres who have continued on or even hit their stride past 30-- Rolling Stones, George Clinton & P-Funk, James Brown, Al Green, Bruce Springsteen, Prince. Artists are still entitled to create art, and whether it moves a million or 50,000, it's still valid.

One more thing Cube. Cant wait to hear ya over a DJ Quik beat. I bet that shit gonna be nutz!!! When i heard ya on the intro for that old BET show "LIVE FROM LA" with you, Snoop & Xzibit i was like WTF Cube sounds dope on a DJ Quik beat. DJ Quik has to be the most underrated MC and producer ever. To say he a genius is an understatement.

Seriously theres so many west coast rappers who dont get there dues. even the ones that do, its like the mainstream trying to push them away. all you hear on the radio is soulja boy, lil wayne, jay-z, or artists who made ne hit but play the hell out of it. Plus Cube with your cred you've EARNED the right to say "I'am The West". I love the west coast music to the fullest. when you go on youtube and see the music videos or listen to your songs, there are so many comments saying that they'd give anything for music to be like how you, DJ Quik, Snoop, 2nd II none, Too $hort, Dre, 2 Pac, WC, Tha Dogg Pound, Warren G, Nate Dogg and several others did it. Forever what the west coast did for music no other coast will match. The art of storytelling is gone nowadays. Thats why with the garbage they play on the radio constantly gives me all the more reason to bump that old west coast shit all the more. Forever i will be a fan of you Cube. You have the right to say whatever is on your mind. If the new west dudes dont like it, then tell them to prove it. The only new west guys that are dope is game, nipsey hussle, terrace martin & problem. most others gotta step it up. Once again Cube much love and cant wait to get your record when it comes out. WEST WEST Y'ALL!!! YAY YAY!!!

    What up Cube!!!
Greetings from Waco/Dallas to be exact. Been down with you homie since day one and will mos def support the new album in July.

If I had to built the perfect MC you would be the blue print homie. Lyrics, street cred, knowledge of self, creativity etc. It's the perfect balance. No doubt homie you're one of the Greatest of All Time and don't get your due. Not many MCs possess mulituple classic albums. Your music helped shape my mind in a positive direction in my formative years. You gave us the good and the bad. The death side and the life side. So keep doing your thing cause these youngstas need to hear a legend speak. Much love Cube!

Ayo, question... Whatever happen to your group "Another Level"? Them nikkas was dope. Kind of reminded me of a southern Cali Heiro. Holla back fam... pzzz

yass, can't wait for july 13th. i agree with one of the previous comments - you need to come to scotland. what happened at the barrowlands, i haven't heard about that?

talking about the new disrepectful rappers, on the 1 hand the coast perhaps should unite, on the other hand some great songs come out of beefs. either way, dropping names is only gonna give em exposure.

    peace

To the person, New West is Here, If you feel like that then why are you a member on Cube's website? If you don't like it don't listen to it, simple as that.
