What up fam? This is the Grand Wizard...
My Japan trip would've been perfect if it was for the messed up sound in Fukuoka. For some reason the man on the sound board put a "gate" on my music (a gate keeps it from peaking) so it kept clipping. But me and WC got through it like the pros that we are. The rest of Japan was riped out the frame. Toyko is still smokin'. The Japanese keep it gangsta.

I had a few days at the house before leaving again. This year my mother's birthday landed on Mothers Day. She asked me and my brother to go to church with her. Being the good son that I am, I made her happy. After church, we went to my grandmother's house where my sister cooked us brunch. Ate good, kisses and hugs, everybodys happy...now back to work.

Monday I flew to the ATL to do The Mo'nique Show for BET and Inside the NBA for TNT. We got in at midnight so I just crashed out. It's a big day tomorrow my documentry will premiere on ESPN.

I woke up and did a half a day of phone interviews about my tv show "ARE WE THERE YET" starring Terry Crews on TBS June 2nd. Then I had to rush over to the Mo'nique Show to do a on camera rehersal of my performance. Her crew is very professional and her set is one of the best I've seen. Next thing I know, it was show time. Mo'nique showed me alot of love and respsect which I appreciate. We did 2 segments before Terry Crews and Essence Atkins came out and sat on the couch. Terry got his boogie on and the crowd went crazy. After a quick change it was time to hit the stage. I did "I REP THAT WEST & IT WAS A GOOD DAY" They loved it. Crazy Toones broke the turntables down and we were off to do Inside the NBA.

I've been up there about 3 or 4 times so it's like going to see your homies at work. We kick it in a control room with about 50 tv monitors playing every sport you can think of. My documentary Straight Outta L.A. even played on one screen. It's cool because everybody in there from me, Charles, Kenny and Ernie are all taking shit about sports, teams, owners and players. The game on the main monitor is the Celtics blowing out the Cavs. At halftime we tape our segment with me and Terry Crews. Didn't know they wanted me to shoot free throws or I would've warmed up. My son Shareef clowned me for missing a few. But a few did drop for me so it wasn't all bad.

I wanna thank everybody who purchased my single I REP THAT WEST. The video dropped this week and I'm getting good feed back. People are loving the quality and I'm loving the people. Look for "DRINK THE KOOL-AID" to drop next right here on icecube.com I gotta mix and master it this week. I've been performing off the ruff mix of it.

I'm home for a few then off to New York for more press on the tv show and the album. Look for summer tour dates. Why go out with Limp Bizcuit? Fred is the homie and his show is dope. Just come out and see for yourself.

The Good In The Hood project? I jumped off the project when they tried to shoot some shows without me.
