Let me just give you my point of view. The majority of hits nowadays are mushy "Love songs" where even the most hard-core rapper even fall to the spell. It's all about money and money and hhhmmm......o yea money. that's why theirs so many rappers now because you don't need alot to be one. Corporations make alot of duplicate rappers like they pre-press cd's, it's all about quantity and not quality, and alot of their beats come from recycled shit from back then. The westside connection said it best when they made a song called "so many rappers in love".....fuk'em all. Listen to Immortal Technique and he'll school you on how all of this shit works, and also KRS-One...they'll tell you.
